The summertime Augusta Heritage Festival attracts thousands of participants to study music and traditional crafts at Davis and Elkins College. “Picking in the Park” features old-time fiddling throughout the year, and the April International Ramp Cook-off and Festival celebrating West Virginia’s famous wild spring onion is yet another excuse for a party here. Enjoy the American Mountain Theater, located in the Historic Rail Yard in downtown Elkins. The theater is the state’s first and only “Branson Style” family-friendly, music & comedy variety show.
